Embed a whether or not question in a sentence.
Key Examples
Verbs before kadouka are in plain form:
- うさぎ を 買う かどうか 教えて下さい。
- Please tell me whether or not you will buy the rabbit.
Adjectives retain い but don't use な:
- この カワウソ が 重い かどうか 分かりません。
- I don't know whether this otter is heavy or not.
- ホテル が 便利 かどうか 調べます。
- I will look up whether the hotel is convenient or not.
